Doing Better written @ 7:20 PM on October 02, 2003 I guess yesterday was just one of those days where I had to vent, because after taking Nightquil and falling asleep shortly after ten last night, I woke up completely spaced out, like the drugs had slapped me in the face for my behavior last night and somehow set my life back in balance. Plus it helped that my roll of film came out in photography like I wanted it, but it required twenty oz. of straight D-76 developer-- which any photographer could tell you is like overdeveloping. But it worked. It was an easy day, in fact. The best part about it, though, was going to David Mack's gallery opening here at school. A little about David Mack: he graduated from NKU in 1995 with a BFA in graphic design and a concentration in English. He is now a multimillionaire and creator of the Kabuki comic book series. He also works on the Daredevil comic series and has won a slew of awards for his art, which is basically mixed media. Honestly, you would never see more incredible comic art in all your life. I took my friend Christian to see his work, and he left with, like, five or six Kabuki books all signed by the artist himself. His work was so beautiful that it just about brought tears to my eyes. It's impossible to describe it and give it justice. I give the Sam Reno Stamp of Approval to David Mack. Casey, I know you'd like this guy, especially in light of your Sabtura work. Look him up via Google sometime. You won't be disappointed. So all in all I'm in better weather. Lin asked me to do a lecture on Tarot reading tomorrow for her PSA meeting... which, as a Catholic, I found amusing. Don't know if I'll do it-- depends on what I get accomplished between now and the meeting.
