The Diary of Queen Mothy |
Hellish Week written @ 7:56 PM on April 19, 2002 This week has been hell because of this Spark arts package. I hate it when people don't pull their own weight around this place, even when their reputation and the reputation on the magazine is on the line, and I feel like a mother, a father, and a goddess who was stuck with the bitch job like Hades was stuck with underworld. No one ever gave Hades enough credit. On top of the editor thing, I've got two features that have grown into monstrous proportions. One feature was on my ol' lunch buddy Ryan who is a freaking creative writing power house. I actually finished that one this afternoon and ran it by Ash, the chief editor. She really seemed to like it. I think Ryan will too. The other feature was on Children's Performing Arts of Lakota. Ugggg. That one's twice the size of Ryan's. It's a good story to do, but it's been such a pain. I just finished transcripting my interviews a couple minutes ago. I only got five hours of sleep last night in my attempt to get somewhere with my stories... I'm kinda beat now, but I've got to get it done. It's deadline weekend. In lighter news, I have a date for prom! It's Ryan, as a matter of fact. People who know seem to be getting a kick out of it. Jessica said to me, "Hey, Ryan came up to me today and said, 'I got a prom date! Guess who she is! Here's a hint: it rhymes with 'Bambino.'" "Sam Reno!" LOL! Sam "Bambino" Reno. I like that. Prom is next weekend. It should be a lot of fun!
