Lookin' Up to the Weekend written @ 10:31 PM on March 26, 2003 My second class was cancelled today, so I spent a few hours before my art class catching up on homework. I'm now officially back on track for the most part and sitting pretty for the weekend. That was my goal. Because... this weekend I'm going down to Louisville, KY with a couple of the girls on my floor to see "Aida." I'm super excited! Sarah, Cassie, Phil, and I are leaving Saturday afternoon for Cassie's house and spending the night there. Should be fun. They're cool people to hang with, and Cassie says she has a hot tub! Then on Sunday we'll be catching the matinee-- SECOND ROW SEATS, BABY!!-- and then drive back to school. I just need to get all my affairs in order before I go. I'm writing another paper on the "Titanic" for English class, and I have to finish up my research-- which basically includes organizing the encyclopedia of facts, stats, and fun stuff in my brain-- before Saturday afternoon. Then I have to get through the rest of these rehearsals, which haven't been bad, don't get me wrong, just a pain in the ass when there are other things to finish that are just as important. Beyond the typical sprawl that is my life, things are looking up and looking pretty. I miss writing, and I miss doing real art like something fierce, but I'm ready to tackle some amazing pieces that have been manifesting themselves in my brain this summer. And I have a tentative schedule for finishing my first novel, which I have not worked on in a while and probably will not get around to this evening. I want to catch some early Zzzs, you understand. I am exhausted. I've been overworking myself (nothin' new there). *** Oh, one last thing: Guys, let me know who's ready to receive what chapters from my novel. It's just about ready to be edited. Christine, which chapters do you need? 7-13?
