First Day of Spring Break = Happy Sam! written @ 11:17 AM on March 29, 2002 There are no band-aids in this house. Last night, my cats decided to crawl into my bathroom closet, jump up to the third shelf, and knock over a glass tray, which, in turn, crushed and shattered the nail polish bottles the tray contained. Naturally when I got up this morning, this bottle of orange nail polish-- a color I never truly favored anyway-- was encrusted onto the bathroom floor. All I have to say is thank God it wasn't the carpet. So I used half a bottle of nail polish cleaner to get rid of it. In the process, the broken glass attacked and killed my finger tips. And because there are no band-aids in this house, I had to resort to good ol' tissues and scotch tape. Typing is holy hell now. And I wasn't able to remove the nail polish in the grooves between the tiles. Quetips didn't work. Today is the first day of Spring Break, and if school didn't end sooner, I would have had to build a Roman funeral pyre. Today I plan to clean the basement, and if I don't, the governor of Ohio is going to name Cincinnati a disaster zone worthy of federal aid from the government. And then my parents are going to sentence me to death by beheading, just like what they did to Charles I. (Can't you tell I'm in world history?) And then afterwards I have to babysit. I need the money. I owe cash to people. But, if I have any time between the basement and babysitting, I hope to get to work on my website again. And maybe continue work revising my novels. Actually, I'm rewriting them, but that's another tale of woe. Christine's surgery went well. She called my class fourth period yesterday and talked to us. She sounded out of it from the medication though. I chipped in some money to help the posse get a gift basket for her. They're taking it to her today at Children's Hospital, but I can't go because I've been imprisoned to the basement. This Spring Break may prove to be awful, but only because I have six projects to do. It's insane actually. No doubt I'll procrastinate. In any case, I probably won't do anything as constructive as school until Monday, as it is Easter weekend. I'm not going anywhere this break, only to my chair in front of this glowing blue technological screen of glory. Kat taught me how to assemble a playlist out of my downloaded music; jeez, I'm so behind on this downloading music thing, but baby steps must be taken! Baby steps! Tis all for now. Chow!
