The Diary of Queen Mothy |
"Upside Down Economics" written @ 10:19 PM on January 28, 2003 Quote of the Day: "I tell ya, those Assyrians were mean boogers. What a violent, vicious people. Coincidentally, the seat of their government was in modern Iraq." Professor Demarcus, the Professor Snape of the History of Europe to 1715. *** Just got finished watching the State of the Union Address. Even though I am not a Bush fan-- actually, I still wake up with nightmares that he's in office-- I thought he made some very good points, even with war for Iraq. I am not a proponent for war, but sometimes I do think it a necessary evil. With that said, I'm not sure if this is the best time for America to be digging into such a war. But then maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's high time for it. I don't often comment on political or foreign issues because of my lack of knowledge, yet even with some critical analysis of his speech I could still tell there was some hazy sentences in there, but over all... I think we're in for an interesting year. Scary, I think. I also concluded something else today: if I don't ever get to visit all the places, both exotic and modern, that I want to visit before I die, I'm blaming Bush. Enough said.
