The Diary of Queen Mothy |
Yesssss! Festival time! written @ 11:23 AM on April 24, 2003 Tonight is the opening of my show, "Three Girls, Four Seasons." And, quite frankly, I am terrified-- due to the fact that I've never exactly called real cues in my life, in spite of my jack-of-all-trades know-how when it comes to theater. So right now, with my history class cancelled and one more class in my day to go, I'm trying to remain perfectly calm and keep doing other things that would take my mind off theater-- which is really hard, because I am actually writing this entry from a theater department computer. It's so amusing how my life often fills up with these little paradoxes. So anyway... here I am... thinking about taking a nap in the theater lounge. After the show tonight there is a fancy reception, so I have to be dressed up and/or looking semi-presentable. The playwright has been here, and she seems very excited about the progress of the show. Over all, I think it'll be a great show once I simmer down, and quite the experience. Before I used to wonder if this show would make me or break me in the department-- and I think it's safe to say my future is bright here. Thank God.
