Arrrr, the Pirates! written @ 4:45 PM on June 29, 2004 I read in the paper that they transferred power to Iraq. *snicker* Yeah. I'll believe that when I see it. Kudos to the Supreme Court, though. Seems as though they're about ready to throw some Bush administration policies out the window, such as the one holding suspected "terrorists" in Cuba for an indefinite amount of time. Gee, I wonder why no one in Washington asked questions about Bush violating that teeny-tiny Constitutional clause before. "Hmmm," this blogger mused sarcastically. "Could it be our fearless leader didn't read the Constitution? No. We have to give him more credit than that! We must!" *** Dad and I went to the Reds vs. Pirate's game on Sunday, and what better way to share in some father-daughter bonding than to behold the Pirates slaughtering the Reds 14-4 in the nineth. Oh, the carnage was beautiful. And the wretched sunburn I'm suffering from right now two days after the fact was well worth it. We were the only two Pirates fans sitting off the first base side of the stadium, bait among sharks, and as soon as the blood-spilling glory began, we clapped smugly as if we were sitting at an opera while everyone around us seethed in their resentment. "Bravo, Kendell, my favorite catcher! Bravo!" The Pirates, of course, heard I was going to be there and they said, "Wow, lads, even though we're in last place in the National League, let's make Sammy up in the stands proud!" You did, boys. This is the best worst sunburn I've ever gotten. *** I'm going to the park this evening to stake out new places to make art. Must go before the sun sets. Cheerio!
