Theater Career in College on the Road written @ 8:18 PM on January 16, 2003 Oi vey... Gotta make this short and sweet. I'm going to the chairman of the theater department tomorrow requesting to be put into the prodution hour lab. That means I'll be putting in about 60 hours of theater work this semester and getting only one hour's worth of credit. If you think I'm crazy, let's just say it's a necessary evil for all theater majors. The thing is, I want to get ahead. I've got to get my name out there. So this is the way to do it. So far I've worked everyday this week and put in almost fifteen hours. Might as well get credit for it. They've come to me asking about my stage managing experience. They need a stage manager for the Year-End Series Festival, a thing where they produce a bunch of plays at once, and an assistant stage manager for "Sweet Charity." I really don't think I want to do it, but I will do it if it means I get my damned foot in the door. So that's my life at the moment: turmoil, work, and more work. I'll write an entry of substance when I get my damned internet connection back up in my room. I hear a call to the Campus Tech Department coming, those bastards...
