The Diary of Queen Mothy |
One Inch! written @ 11:08 PM on October 03, 2004 I got a haircut today! This is always celebrated with some fanfare because, like Chucky from Rugrats, I have this fear of getting my hair cut. The trauma dates back to the second grade when Mom made me get this paige-boy style that I hated from the moment I saw it, and ever since that day I have been growing out my hair and it's quite long, I dare say. But long hair oft requires a fantastic amount of upkeep, namely getting trimmed on a regular basis, which I can't stand. Today I got about two inches cut. It's light and billowy! I felt at ease. Anyway, the point of me writing about this is that wjile I was in the sitting area, I was going through one of those hair style books, and I was disappointed to find that all the styles in the "long hair" section are only for shoulder length hair. Friends, that is not long hair. Having to double loop a ponytail to keep it out of your way because the single loop is too heavy and burdensome is long hair. Okay, I'm done. *** I was going to write about the presidential debates from the other night, but everything I have to say was either said by John Stewart or political pundits. So! With that said, I will add only this: I was reading the Cincinnati Enquirer this morning, and there was an article about Bush returning to Ohio after the debate to do some more ralleying in this ickle battleground state. This paragraph caught my eye: "Though Bush's seven-hour campaign bus tour through Columbus, Mansfield and suburban Akron was supposed to be dedicated to the president's plans for homeownership, Bush was still coming up with responses to questions asked at the foreign-policy debate in Miami." Not a day too soon, eh, Mr. Prez? *lol*
