The Diary of Queen Mothy |
Sam's Version of the Alphabet written @ 2:56 PM on November 12, 2002 Christine, that was all very pyschological what happened to you in sociology. Last week in my 2-D art class, we were discussing a magazine article that told the story of a man who "tasted shapes." For example, he would say things like "this soup isn't shaped sharply enough" and stuff like that. Apparently, this is a rare medical condition where people simply learn another way. This has nothing to do with you. The point is, the moment I heard this article, I had a flashback where I suddenly remembered sitting in preschool learning my letters, and I would assign genders and colors to letters unconsciously. For example, A was female and would be cadmium red medium hue. (Of course, I didn't say to myself "cadmium red medium hue" then, but I say it now because R, a rugged tomboy female, was alizarin crimson.) B was male and could either be bluish gray or brown. C was male and was pale blue. D, male, was black. E, a muddy yellow, was female. And I sat there going through "my" alphabet in my head, recalling it like it had been yesterday when actually it had been years and years since I last thought of it. The point is something in the environment must have stimulated this memory on your part. Try to think about what it could have been. *** Well, my preciouses, the moment I published my entry last night, I was suddenly assaulted by some of the girls on my floor who wanted me to organize the Harry Potter Contingency for Friday. It was a huge honor. :) There's about 13 of us going. I'm going to reserve tickets. They better pay up, otherwise Nice Sam will turn into Bloodthirsty Loan Shark Sam. I may be going to see a private screening of the movie tomorrow night, though. A friend of mine in my drawing class has some rather influential connections.... which basically means she works at a movie theater. But we'll see! Anyhoo, I have a shit load of work to do. And no time in which to do it. I've been lazy lately. I have things to do... like now. But first... A= female, cadmium red medium hue B= male, bluish-gray, brown C= male, light blue D= male, black E= female, muddy yellow F= male, forest green G= male, translucent, without color H= male, oak brown I= male, dark blue J= male, mahogany K= female, like a mango L= male, bright yellow M= male, reddish-black N= male, brown spots over blue coloring O= female, white with slight biast to yellow P= female, orange Q= male, medium gray R= female, alizarin crimson S= female, pink/violet T= male, light green U= female, titanium white V= male, dark violet, velvet W= female, old, colorless X= male, bluish-black Y= male, yellow/black Z= male, red/black I was such a weird little kid.
